I have just started this, only 2 cold showers. Since I had a glitch in my anti depression medicine, I think it will be awhile before I see how this works - also some people report several weeks before full benefits. This I have noticed though, it helps to just get the feet cold first, then the calves, thighs, working upward until getting to the head. With each stage the cold feeling seems to lesson pretty fast on that area of the body - within seconds. They say it is very important to be sure to "treat" the armpits because of all the sympathetic & parasympathetic nerves there. Lastly I do the head, letting the water run down all over. It's not bad that way at all. I promise. ;-) Also, before getting in the shower I take some cayenne pepper (great for the heart and body in general) & get on the trampoline for a little while and turn on a space heater in the bathroom.
