Finally, some serious criticism: her hairdo is out of date

And this comes from the Washington Post, no less.

Michelle sums it all up nicely:

Yes, there’s a newspaper that actually paid a staffer to write an article about Gov. Sarah Palin’s “outdated” hair.

As opposed to Silky Pony’s?

Crikey on steroids. Next, they’ll be examining her teeth and handbag choices. Oh, and perhaps that Washington Post style who savaged John Roberts’ family for their fashion sense will attack the Palin kids’ shoe styles.

You know the MSM is desperate when they go for the hair.

And newspapers wonder why they’re on the brink of disaster.

I’ll admit I’ve made a few snide remarks myself about John Edwards’ freakish hair, but I didn’t try and pretend they were anything but pure cattiness. I laughed out loud when I read the Post’s attempt to legitimize the story by quoting a hair stylist who could proclaim - with authority - that her hair was behind the times.

I would like to retract my snarky statements about Edwards’ hair, and put a professional spin on them:

“John Edwards has plastic hair,” said my friend Tina. Tina, an avid reader of Vogue and other style magazine, added, “This dude looks like he sprayed it on. Even the color makes him look like a vapid asshat who cheats on his wife with a chick he met in a bar.”

Tina, who works for a company she doesn’t want named, earned her title “Hair and Fashion Police” after years of professional commenting on style. When she’s not working at her high-powered corporate job, she can be seen around town critiquing the style of everyone she sees.

“Perhaps if he ran his hands through his hair and gave it a muss,” she said, “citizens might believe it’s real hair. As it is, his hair looks like a bad rug.”

Tina went on to critique Edwards’ mistress and her choice of style.

“What’s there to say? It’s Skank 101,” she said. “Even Newsweek noticed her dark roots and state of frizz. If Newsweek notices, you know it’s true.”

Newsweek has not yet commented on Ms. Palin’s hair style.

“John Edwards is proof positive that a solid hair and clothing budget can’t buy good taste,” Tina said.
